While we have some programs specifically for adults, we have a palette of learning opportunities for adults and children of all ages, genders and occupations -- literally ranging from babies to grandparents. We can even attend your work and do Lunch & Learn programs and "Life Balance” programs.

We offer in-home programs, programs in your community and at our three Calgary resource centres. Our resource centres and hours of operation are:

Both centres are open from September to June, with some off-site programs in July and August.

4. How much do your workshops cost?
Program fees vary depending on the length of the course. Subsidies, if required, are available. Please see our AT A Glance for some of our more specialized or multi-week programs and fees.

Yes, where possible, we make special financial arrangements to make programs accessible to families.

Our services are headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. However we do serve outlying communities and neighboring towns like Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks and more. Where possible, we also make special arrangements to deliver programming outside our service area. Please Contact Us to discuss your needs.
8. Do you offer programs for businesses?
Yes, we make nearly all our programs available to businesses upon special request. Our most common business services are our lunch hour programs. Call or email us to learn how to bring our services to your office and we’ll be glad to assist you.
9. Is your organization non-profit?
Yes, we are a not-for-profit society registered with the Province of Alberta.
10. Who started Families Matter?
Families Matter emerged from the merger of Calgary Support for Young Parents, Calgary Family Connections Society and the Parent Development Centre in 2003. The founding organizations have a history of serving Calgarians for over 20 years.
11. Are you a religious organization?
We are not affiliated with any specific religious organization. We are happy to collaborate with any group, including faith-based organizations, which share our objective of strengthening families.
